Zeeland's 21 Museumkaart museums are about the sea and what it did. The Watersnoodmuseum in Ouwerkerk tells the 1953 flood, the Maritiem MuZEEum Zeeland in Vlissingen and the Visserijmuseum in Breskens the ships and fishing, Terra Maris in Oostkapelle the landscape, and the Bevrijdingsmuseum Zeeland in Nieuwdorp the war.
