Track your Tesla's battery health over time

Every battery loses some capacity as it ages. The question is how much, and how fast. Amp records your car's battery capacity every day, so you see the trend instead of guessing from the range on the screen.

Capacity, every day

Amp stores one reading a day of the battery's usable full-pack energy as the car reports it, and the range it would have at 100%. The Battery Health chart plots them over months, with the change since your first reading.

Daily readings smooth out the noise of a single charge: a cold morning or a balanced pack moves one point, not the trend.

Idle drain while parked

Between drives, Amp measures how much charge the car loses while it stands still — the so-called vampire drain. Each parked period shows the hours, the battery level before and after, the loss per day and how long Sentry Mode was on, at home or elsewhere.

That makes it easy to see what an always-on feature costs you, and to spot a drain that's higher than it should be. Insights estimate how much energy Sentry Mode uses per month.

A battery report for selling

Selling the car? Amp turns your history into a one-page battery report: capacity and range at 100% from your first and latest weeks of data, the monthly trend, charging habits such as the share of fast charging, and the battery warranty.

Share it as a PDF with a QR code: buyers scan it to open the published copy on our site and check the numbers. Amp doesn't give a single "state of health" percentage, because it doesn't know the capacity your car had when new.

Without waking the car

Amp gets this from the car's own telemetry while it's awake. It never wakes the car to ask, so tracking battery health doesn't add drain of its own.

Which cars it works with

Amp is made by TIT and works with Tesla Model 3, Model Y and Tesla Cybertruck, and with Model S and Model X built in 2021 or later. It is an independent app, not affiliated with, endorsed or supported by Tesla, Inc.

Frequently asked questions

How is battery degradation measured?

From the usable full-pack capacity the car reports. Amp keeps one reading a day and shows the change against your earliest reading.

Does Amp show past degradation from before I installed it?

No. The history starts on the day your car first sends data to Amp; the longer you use it, the clearer the trend.

Can I show a buyer my battery's history?

Yes. Create a battery report in Stats → Battery Health and share it as a PDF. Its QR code opens a published copy on our site for a year, so a buyer can check the figures; you can unpublish it any time.

Does checking battery health drain the battery?

No. Amp doesn't wake the car or poll it; it only records what the car sends while it's awake anyway.
