This week's supermarket deals, every store in one list
Every Dutch supermarket publishes a new round of promotions each week, each in its own app or paper folder. DealLens reads them all and puts the result in one list on your iPhone: the product, the price, the deal mechanics and which store has it, so you check one place instead of eight.
Which stores are in it
Albert Heijn, Jumbo, Dirk, DekaMarkt and ALDI come straight from the retailers' own online promotion data. Lidl, PLUS, Hoogvliet, Vomar, Spar, Nettorama, Poiesz, Boni and Ekoplaza publish their deals as a weekly folder, and DealLens reads those pages; so do the wholesalers Sligro, Hanos and Makro. Coop is not covered yet.
A folder item only makes it into the app when its price and validity dates could be read reliably. That keeps mistakes out, but it also means a folder-based store is not always complete. Deals from the retailers' own data have no such gap.
One feed, ranked by real savings
The Today tab is the week's promotions in one scrollable feed. Each card shows the promotion as the store words it (2 for €5, 1+1 free, 25% off) and the price per item it works out to, so a bold sticker and a real discount are easy to tell apart. Deals are ranked on the actual saving against the regular price, on how a product's price compares across stores and against its own history, and a little on what you have looked at before.
Promotions that end within two days carry a note saying so, so you do not plan a shop around a deal that is gone by the weekend. When a product you have favourited drops in price, a banner at the top of the feed says which one.
Only the stores you shop at
Under Profile → Home feed stores you switch off the supermarkets you never visit, and the feed stops leading with them. A deal only disappears from the feed when every store carrying it is switched off; a deal at two stores keeps its card and leads with the one you do use. Category pages always show every store, with a My stores shortcut when you want the narrow view there too.
Categories work the same way: swipe a category off the feed and it stays off until you bring it back in the same editor.
Find a product, in Dutch or English
Search covers every running promotion. Product and brand names are what the supermarkets publish, in Dutch, but you can search in English: milk finds melk, detergent finds wasmiddel. Store and diet chips narrow a search; typos get a suggestion.
Browse by category instead — Dairy, Meat, Household and so on — and filter on vegetarian, vegan, organic or an allergen where the retailer's product data says so. DealLens does not invent that data: a product with no dietary information simply has no label.
Refreshed twice a day
The feed is rebuilt every morning and early evening, and again as soon as a new weekly folder appears. The app fetches the latest version when you open it if its copy is more than an hour and a half old, and shows a notice when the data is older than a day. Prices come from the sources as published; always check the shelf price, and treat DealLens as independent of the stores it shows.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the whole folder of every store?
For Albert Heijn, Jumbo, Dirk, DekaMarkt and ALDI the promotions come from the retailers' own data and are complete. For the folder-based stores DealLens includes a page's items only when it could read their price and dates reliably, so a folder can have gaps.
Does DealLens need my location or a postcode?
No. It never asks for your location. You choose the stores you shop at yourself under Profile → Home feed stores.
Can I see the original folder page?
Yes. A deal read from a folder shows the page it came from and a link to the retailer's folder, so you can check the small print yourself.
What does it cost?
Nothing. DealLens is free, with no in-app purchases, no subscription and no account.
